Railway Cottage is next to The Old Greenhouse and Kitchen Garden. It offers two separate stand alone en-suite rooms with magnificent open views out over the Estate and countryside.
The rooms are themed around the heritage of the Highland Railway Line, and in particular, The Black Island Platform which was situated just around the corner from the manse between Blair Atholl and The Old Manse of Blair.
The rooms are decorated in a chic luxurious way - a nod to the heritage and aptly named; The Signal Box & The Ticket Office. Look out for the detail on the cushions, depicting the lanterns they would have used at night on the railway and the axles of the steam trains.

The rooms each have their own outdoor furnished patio which is bathed in sunlight and is the perfect spot for relaxing. Please note there is an incline and these rooms are not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
The Signal Box is a small double room. The Ticket Office has a Kingsize Bed and is a larger room with french doors to the patio. The Ticket Office is dog friendly. The main house was used as offices of the Highland Railway Company from 1853 during the construction of the original railway, so the conversion and interior will reflect this period of history of the estate.
