A captivating story of revival
The rich history of The Old Manse of Blair is felt everywhere. Once gracing Blair Castle's lawn in the 1700s until relocated by the Duke, it then served as the Highland Railway Company's HQ during the 1800s railway construction. Years following it fell into grave disrepair until the sensitive restoration began in 2016. Today, it stands reborn, seamlessly fusing heritage and contemporary design.
The Walled Garden
A blossoming retreat
Frozen in time, the walled garden and orchard, neglected for half a century, began a revival in January 2021 amidst the first snowflakes. The chilling grip of COVID-19 delayed progress for months. Despite setbacks, the project thawed, and by the end of 2021, the walled garden and its surroundings stood transformed, overcoming both natural obstacles and unprecedented adversities. Restored to its former grandeur, it’s now a flourishing and tranquil oasis.
