The shopping opportunities are endless at The House of Bruar, known affectionately as the ‘Harrods of the Highlands’, minutes away and with an exclusive personal shopping experience available for our residential guests, you won’t be short of an indulgent treat or fabulous souvenir. Think Cashmere, Tweed and all things country living with an excellent range of designer brands and gifts.
Pop in to Pitlochry, a charming little tourist town a short drive away. The smallest distillery in Britain, Edradour or the Blair Athol distillery are within easy reach too. You’ll want to walk along the famous SSE dam, take in the spectacular view over Loch Faskally and watch the salmon on the fish ladder. The new SSE visitor centre is a fabulous new addition to the tourist attractions in the area. You can find out all about the history of power generation and the building of the dams and with fascinating exhibits and interactive displays there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Perhaps you want to take in some Highland Games and there is plenty to choose from, the Atholl Gathering, Pitlochry Highland Games, The Braemar or Rannoch Gathering and many more.
There are many activities locally throughout the year including the wonderful Enchanted Forest event which takes places annually in the late Autumn.
